Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, IT End User & Field Support. This position is responsible to lead and manage multiple teams to ensure reliable operation, support, and continuous improvement of IT systems and services across all company sites, including overseeing asset management, service quality, security compliance, and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • 4-Year University degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or Management.
  • Over 10 years experience working in end support or field services with over 5 years’ experience in a leadership position.
  • Experience managing multiple teams responsible for daily IT operations, support, and commissioning of new systems in a complex business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies for efficient production operations, including planning, resource management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining asset management programs, overseeing device lifecycle (procurement, deployment, refresh, recovery, recycling), and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows OS, Azure, SCCM, Active Directory), desktop virtualization, mobile device management, and experience supporting a wide range of end user computing platforms.
  • Exposure and solid comprehension to core ITSM, ITAM, EUC, ServiceNow Tooling and Reporting
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical staff, procurement, and external vendors to acquire infrastructure, negotiate contracts, and support business continuity.
