The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) provides highway safety and security through excellence in service, education, and enforcement. With a workforce of approximately 4,500 employees throughout the state, the Department is leading the way to A Safer Florida through the efficient and professional execution of its core mission: the issuance of driver licenses, vehicle tags and titles, and operation of the Florida Highway Patrol.
Requirements
- Project budgeting skills.
- Project management skills including ability to organize and prioritize multiple complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management.
- Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of applications (including Microsoft Project) and/or familiar with project management technology tools (preferably the ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) web tool).
- Proficiency in project management principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through project closure.
- Ability to facilitate medium to large groups of people at various organizational levels for the purposes of planning, problem solving, or strategy development.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
