Senior Software Engineer / Data Engineer with Python

Zayo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer/Data Engineer with Python experience to join their Network Automation team. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining innovative tools and solutions to meet evolving business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in software development with a variety of languages such as Python, Javascript, SQL, and GraphQL
• Experience working with various databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, and Neo4j with large and complex data sets
• Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, React, Javascript)
• Extensive experience in both building and integrating with RESTful APIs
• Experience with both the Salesforce and ServiceNow APIs
• Experience with async processing and message bus communications (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Strong abilities on the Linux command line, working with various flavors of Linux and Docker/Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of applied statistics and the ability to code systems that identify outlier behavior in large systems
• Previous experience delivering, maintaining and promoting a production software product
• Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and experience using a variety of remote collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence, Google Suite, Zoom, etc.
