We are seeking a Software Asset Management (SAM) Manager responsible for leading Boeing’s SAM strategy by establishing a clear governance framework and ensuring consistent execution across a global, matrixed environment.

Requirements

  • Develop and build an end-to-end SAM governance function supported by standardized policies, processes, procedures and tools in a matrixed, global environment
  • Maintain a centralized and secure repository of software license keys, entitlements, certificates, and digital credentials in ServiceNow
  • Monitor and track license expirations, renewals, and usage metrics to ensure compliance and business continuity
  • Collaborate with Procurement, IT, Security teams and others to support software acquisition and renewal processes
  • Ensure proper documentation and lifecycle management of software licenses, including versioning and vendor terms
  • Audit and reconcile license usage data across various discovery tools
  • Establish and execute procedures for key rotation, revocation, and secure disposal
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes related to software access and credentials
  • Provide reporting and insights into license utilization, gaps, and optimization opportunities
  • Respond to internal audits, vendor audits, and compliance assessments, when called upon
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, peers, and external partners to foster collaboration and drive SAM success
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Procurement, Security, Legal and other groups as necessary to gain clarification of ongoing activities and embed requirements in SAM initiatives
  • Coordinate commitments and communications with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategic initiatives

Requirements Summary

7+ years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Security, or related IT operational roles; 5+ years of experience in a managerial role; 3+ years of experience in general software licensing models and vendor terms
