The Software Development Engineer 3 is an experienced professional who independently works on tasks, utilizing technology and programming languages to analyze, design, program, debug, test, and maintain systems. This role requires judgment, experience, and adherence to Church policies, potentially acting as a technical lead. The individual contributes to technology that supports the Church's mission and reflects the gospel's impact.

Requirements

  • Contribute to and perform analysis of functional requirements
  • Serve as a technical lead for a small team, a small to medium functional area, or for a short-term project
  • Mentor less-senior developers
  • Create technical designs mapped to functional requirements
  • Provide estimates for development tasks
  • Develop source code and unit tests according to technical designs
  • Assist in creating team-wide development strategies
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Contribute to technical documentation
  • Participate in the Incident Management process and fix issues on a 24/7 basis
  • Implement measures, as designed, to comply with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
