Solution Architect (PSA Opt. 3)

The State of Illinois is seeking a Solution Architect to work on the Enterprise Architecture team. The successful candidate will create architectural designs and technical solutions that align with agency objectives and technical requirements while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.

Requirements

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in management information systems, data processing, telecommunications, or a directly related Information Technology related field.
• Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in management information systems, data processing, or telecommunications in a public or business organization.
• Requires three (3) years of professional experience as a Solution Architect utilizing and advising on enterprise platforms such as SAP, Azure, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Dynamics, Snowflake, Databricks and Microsoft Power Apps, including aligning platform capabilities with business and technical requirements.
• Requires three (3) years of professional experience managing and coordinating project requests, including scoping, analyzing requirements, and developing Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for technical solutions, including Software as a Service (SAAS) models.
• Requires three (3) years of professional experience serving as an enterprise, data, cloud, security, or AI architect, delivering scalable, secure, and standards-compliant solutions that align with enterprise architecture frameworks.
