NetImpact Strategies is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a federal agency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing complex IT environments, including Linux and Windows systems, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Administer Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux) and Windows systems
  • Support VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi) across multiple data centers
  • Configure and maintain NetApp storage (NFS, CIFS, FC, iSCSI, Snapshots, SnapMirror)
  • Manage F5 LTM/ASM appliances, including iRules, Virtual Servers, and firewall policies
  • Implement automation with Puppet, Spacewalk, and Nagios-based monitoring
  • Maintain backup and recovery solutions using NetApp and Commvault
  • Support database infrastructure (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Collaborate via ServiceNow and JIRA to resolve service requests and incidents
  • Apply patches, remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with FISMA
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotations and support disaster recovery
  • Contribute to hybrid cloud operations (AWS EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, CloudWatch)
  • Maintain detailed documentation of systems, procedures, and recovery processes

Requirements Summary

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of systems/network engineering experience, Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Puppet, Ansible)
