LinkedIn is seeking a Sr Manager, Payroll Operations US & Canada to lead payroll operations across the U.S. and Canada, overseeing the end-to-end payroll delivery for approximately 13,000 employees. The role involves managing a high-performing team, ensuring compliance, and elevating employee payroll experience through accuracy, flexibility, and service excellence.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive payroll experience with a focus on U.S. and Canadian payroll
  • 5+ years of people management experience including managing payroll teams
  • CPP or FPC certification preferred
  • Deep expertise in federal, state, and provincial payroll tax and labor law compliance
  • Experience in a public company and SOX-compliant environment
  • Experience managing payroll for equity and deferred compensation programs
  • Strong project management, change management, and process optimization skills
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar case management tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure
  • Experience leading teams in a hybrid or remote-first environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels
  • Hands-on experience with ADP (GlobalView, Workforce Now, or Streamline) and Workday HCM
  • Proven track record in managing complex payroll operations, projects, and stakeholders
