Sr Systems Engineer (Logic Monitor) - Req 2282

Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking a Sr Systems Engineer (Logic Monitor) to deliver health IT solutions that support caregivers around the world. The ideal candidate will have experience in analyzing situations or data for resolutions, working with internal IT and Development Organizations, and proficient in utilizing ITIL and Windows Event Logs.

Requirements

• Preferably to have ITIL foundation knowledge/ experience.
• Working experience and Strong knowledge on Event Management, Incident Management, MI’s, System Outages and how ITIL must be applied in the process of Incident Management.
• Support experience in configuration Management and understanding of PowerShell Scripting with some development background.
• Integration experience with ServiceNow, Chef and network automation tools.
• Basic understanding of scripting and ability to write basic scripts.
• Strong understanding of Windows Event Logs.
• Operational experience with utilization of monitoring tools and good understanding/ working experience with tracing health of agents/ collectors and support.
• Good understanding on windows servers, different types of services, clustering etc.
• MCSA Certification may be a plus.
• Understanding different types of databases and ability with running queries.
• Mandatory skills around analytics, system issue troubleshooting, ability with understanding error logs, investigating issues to get system up and running with maintaining maximum system up-time.
• Experience in Linux/Windows/Network administration and operations is desirable.
• 5+ years of administrating enterprise Windows and Virtual Environment.
• Working knowledge of SQL server 2014, 2016, Always On.
• Sound knowledge on Various Operating systems flavors, System files, Registry.
• Logic-Monitor Engine, Collector, Logic-Monitor dashboards, Configuration Management.
• Understanding on QoS, Multicast, MPLS, Traffic, IP Telephony, Performance.
• Understanding of Cisco IP SLA, NetFlow, Multicast and VOIP.
• Experience in Linux/Windows/Network administration and operations is desirable.
• Experience with monitoring solutions and/or associated protocols (WMI, SNMP, JDBC, HTTP, etc.).
• Must have experience with IIS, Clustering & File & different services.
• Experience with Patching & Security remediation, AD and Domain services
• Experience with monitoring tools and antivirus will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Data Center operations and vendor handling.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, written and oral communication skills.
