ServiceNow is hiring a Staff Product Service Engineer with expertise in MariaDB and PostgreSQL to support, optimize, and scale database-backed services. The role is pivotal in ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across customer-facing platforms and internal systems.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with MariaDB and PostgreSQL in production environments
- Strong understanding of database internals, indexing strategies, replication, and failover mechanisms
- Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and query optimization
- Experience with backup/restore strategies, disaster recovery planning, and data migration
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, pg_stat_statements)
- Fluent in German and English (written and verbal)
- Ability to travel to our customer site in Germany
- Ability to be on-call if required
