Staff Software Systems Engineer, Mail and Messaging

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Systems Engineer to join our Mail & Messaging team in Systems Engineering. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned developer capable of building and maintaining robust, scalable systems and services.

Requirements

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience
• Strong experience with Linux and Linux-based services running at scale
• Advanced proficiency in Python, with the ability to design and implement complex systems
• Experience working on mail systems is highly desirable
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet is a plus
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, and system performance
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Base pay of $147,300 - $257,800, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits
