ServiceNow is seeking a Staff System Administrator to deliver seamless operational support to German customers. This role involves ensuring stable, secure, and scalable infrastructure, building tools to replace manual tasks, and proactively preventing incidents while continuously improving documentation. They will work with Global ServiceNow Team to provide relief, resolution, and support.
Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience building and maintaining Linux-based systems
- Substantial experience working on systems dealing with one or more Relational Database technologies (MariaDB, Oracle, or PostgreSQL)
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to investigate and discover problems on own
- Strong database/system performance analysis, capacity sizing, and optimization skills
- Understanding of the public or private cloud, including data centers, systems, networks, web applications, databases, and server infrastructure
- Familiarity with virtualization and cloud infrastructure technologies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- German and English proficiency (written and verbal)
- Fluency in German and English
- Ability to work on-calls
