Technical Security Analyst

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking a Technical Security Analyst to ensure data quality in assessing security risks at their mine complexes in British Columbia. The role involves collaborating with various teams, ensuring access to actionable security data and translating insights into improvements. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, working independently and managing deadlines. EVR is committed to responsible resource development and environmental performance.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (preferred)
• Experience with ServiceNow, especially in workflow development, configuration, and the Security Operations module
• Experience with cyber security operational functions, especially vulnerability response and incident response
• Experience with Windows forensics and configuring and using Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools
• Experience with Windows server and workstation infrastructure
• Exposure to Azure or other cloud environments
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerBI and Excel
• Skilled at presenting data to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proficient in core information security concepts and technologies
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
• Familiarity with IAM (Identity and Access Management) practices
• Experience with Windows patching via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) is an asset
• Familiarity with IAM practices is an asset
