Tier II Network Technician

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Tier II Network Technician to support computer data communications systems, in providing design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as, analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling.

Requirements

• TS SCI with a Poly
• 10 years of experience with a combination of work history and education (Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years)
• Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
• Ability to work flexible hours, to include weekend support
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
• Familiarity with CISCO/Juniper RMA process
• Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP)
• Layer 2 network experience (ability to configure/troubleshoot switches/routers, MAC addresses, VLANs, port security, applying thin and thick configs)
• Layer 3 network experience (subnetting, familiar with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE)
• Experience with Visio
• Familiarity with ServiceNow and Confluence
• May have up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities based on site and team needs
