AppOps, Senior Specialist

AppOps, Senior Specialist responsible for maintaining, enhancing, tuning and supporting Interac’s high performance payment systems, diagnosing and resolving application problems, and ensuring optimal performance. The role requires strong technical and operational skills, end-end application and systems insights, and experience working in cloud/hybrid/on-prem environments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of advanced programming experience (Java, Python, Spring Framework, AngularJS, etc.)
• Advanced expertise in using version control systems, such as Git, for managing codebases and collaboration
• Good understanding of different types of open-source packages, preferably Spring, Apache and data transformation (jaxb2, JSON, XML)
• Advanced expertise with scripting e.g. Power Shell, Python, and Ansible
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, ITIL framework and Service Management practices (Event Management/Incident Management/Change Management/Problem Management)
• Advanced experience working with deploying and maintaining Dockerized applications
• Advanced experience using tools such as Azure Monitor, AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, ServiceNow, PagerDuty
• Strong experience in Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)
• Good understanding of software lifecycle including release planning, release processes, software testing, incident, problem and change management
• Well versed in analyzing data, identifying and proactively mitigating risk to production systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and can seamlessly communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong and energetic team player and are able to engage with all stakeholders in a team environment
• Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity
