Cloud System Administrator

GHD is looking for a Cloud System Administrator to join their Global Software Solutions team. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain Cloud infrastructure and platform applications to ensure high levels of service availability and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Cloud Administrator, Cloud Platform Engineer, or similar role, preferably in a hosting environment
• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate and ITIL v4 Fundamentals certification preferred
• Proficiency in Windows Server administration, IIS, and.NET applications
• Strong system administration skills (Windows) at the command-line level
• Solid understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates
• Expertise in automation scripting using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Knowledge of cloud networking, including VNETs, VPNs, load balancing, and subnet management
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Jira Atlassian, ServiceNow and Agile workflows
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and processes for Cloud-based solutions
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, or managing containerized workloads is ideal
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts and their practical implementation, including reliability best practices, monitoring, incident response, and automation
• Knowledge of cost optimization strategies for cloud environments, including reserved instances and rightsizing
