Configuration Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT Configuration Manager to lead the design, implementation, and governance of a robust configuration management system within a large-scale IT integration programme for the UK defence sector.

Requirements

• Proven experience in configuration management within complex IT programmes.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL V4 and ability to design and apply compliant processes.
• Demonstrable knowledge with managing and overseeing entire release management cycle to include hotfixes, defect tracking, production operations status reporting
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and on-premises server environments.
• Familiarity with UK MOD standards, security classifications, and governance frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and associated artefacts (release planning, retrospectives, backlog management).
• Exposure to SecDevOps principles and tooling.
• Practical experience in defining CIs and configuring CMDB tools.
