Data Center / Network Engineer

The Data Center Engineer will be responsible for the management, operation, maintenance and support of Windows and Linux servers, storage devices, backups and nightly scheduled jobs. The Data Center Engineer will report to the Data Center Manager and will work closely with other members of the technology departments to support all technology at our client’s sites and implement new technologies.

Requirements

• 4-year college degree in a relatable field or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of data center experience working within both physical (Windows/Linux) and virtual (VMware/Hyper-V) servers in a 500+ server environment
• Experience with automated management tools
• Strong vendor management experience managing 3rd party service providers
• Cloud or Hybrid Cloud experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity best practices
• Experience with designing an ITSM system to automate processes
• Experience with Cisco Nexus 9000 Series (9K) switches
• Experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
• Advanced skills in Enterprise Networking solutions (Cisco, Palo Alto) are a plus
• ITSM system experience is a plus (i.e. Remedy, ServiceNow)
• ITIL Certification preferred
