The Data Center Technician is responsible for providing hands-on technical support within a CoLo data center environment, including hardware installation, basic networking support, ticket management, and on-site assistance for internal teams and external vendors.
Requirements
- Provide field support (5+ years preferred)
- Manage and update SNOW (ServiceNow) tickets and asset records
- Perform networking troubleshooting
- Serve as on-site ‘Hands and Eyes’ support for remote network engineers
- Escort third-party hardware vendors and ensure adherence to site policies
- Perform rack-and-stack of servers, switches, and additional data center hardware
- Cable management, including routing under raised floors and through endcaps
- Conduct remote and on-site support for software/hardware installations
- Safely lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
