Director, Software Engineering

ServiceNow is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the development of their next-generation Observability applications, supporting a global cloud services organization. This strategic leadership role involves shaping the vision and execution for observability, enabling proactive insight, faster incident resolution, and enhanced customer experience through self-servicing and intuitive user experiences. The role requires leading a high-performing engineering team and promoting AI/ML-first development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems, cloud platforms, or infrastructure
• 8+ years of engineering leadership experience managing & scaling high-performing teams and leaders
• 2+ years of hands-on experience leading AI native initiatives in engineering
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry, TSDB, Kafka, Grafana, and other observability tools
• Strong understanding of Observability across the full stack
• Experience in network observability technologies
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
