The Engineer, IT Automation and Monitoring is responsible for the design, implementation, support, and maintenance of automation and monitoring solutions critical to healthcare operations. This role focuses on automating repetitive IT tasks, optimizing system performance, and ensuring high availability in a mission-critical environment. Collaboration with IT teams, vendors, and hospital stakeholders is essential for operational resilience. This position advocates for technology to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Design, develop, and implement automation scripts and workflows (e.g., using Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
  • Deploy and manage enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Prometheus, Splunk)
  • Analyze monitoring data to identify performance bottlenecks and implement automated remediation
  • Integrate automation and monitoring tools with healthcare systems and IT service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Work with IT teams, clinical staff, and vendors to gather requirements and troubleshoot issues
  • Create technical documentation and provide training to IT staff
  • Develop dashboards and reports to provide insights into system performance

Requirements Summary

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field. 3-5 years experience with automation/monitoring. Strong technical background & experience in large organizations. Cybersecurity knowledge is required
