GovCIO is hiring for a GIS-Map Developer to support the USPS. The role involves working with GIS and web mapping technologies to design and develop geospatial software and tools, analyze business requirements, and build interactive web maps. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills and a background in geospatial data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or 4 years of relevant experience if a degree is unavailable)
- 5+ years of experience in designing large and complex IT solutions
- Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills
- Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#
- Understanding of GIS principles and spatial data concepts
- Working knowledge of Agile Methodologies
- Knowledge of SDLC practices
- DevSecOps, Secure Coding practices, and the Solutions Development Framework (Docker, Jenkins, GitLab)
- Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes
- Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc)
- Clearance Required: Ability to acquire and maintain a USPS Public Trust clearance
