Archer is an aerospace company building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. We are seeking an IT Software Asset Manager to oversee software lifecycle management, governance, risk, and compliance across the organization.

Requirements

  • Maintain a centralized inventory of all software assets, licenses, and SaaS subscriptions.
  • Oversee procurement, deployment, renewal, and retirement processes to ensure accurate entitlement and usage tracking.
  • Partner with Finance and Procurement to align software spending with budget forecasts and business priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to software license agreements, vendor terms, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze software utilization data to identify underused or redundant licenses and drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies for license pooling, reallocation, and optimization.
  • Negotiate contracts and renewals to secure optimal pricing and service terms.
  • Manage and optimize SAM/ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow, or Ivanti).
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to track compliance, usage, spend, and performance metrics.
  • Provide executive summaries and actionable insights to IT and finance leadership.

Requirements Summary

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. 5–7 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or SaaS vendor/subscription management
