Linux System administrator

We are seeking a Linux System Administrator to join our team in Cambridge, England. The successful candidate will have 5-8 years of experience running and maintaining on-premise data centres, strong experience with Linux, and expertise in automation tools, IP networking, and containerisation. The role is hybrid, with 3 days a week spent in Cambridge and the rest working remotely.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in running and maintaining on-premise data centres
• Strong experience with Linux (Ubuntu / Centos)
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Foreman etc)
• Knowledge of IP networking, DNS, and firewalling
• Experience with Python, shell scripts and command-line tools
• Knowledge of containerisation and related orchestration technologies
• Demonstrable experience of remediation projects, ideally within a PCI-DSS certified environment
• Strong verbal & written communication skills and natural willingness to collaborate across teams and organisations
• Naturally able & productive with ITSM tools such as Jira, ServiceNow etc
