We are seeking a Linux System administrator with 5-8 years of experience to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for running and maintaining on-premise data centres, as well as experience with Linux, enterprise storage, and automation tools.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in Linux system administration
- Experience running and maintaining on-premise data centres
- Strong experience with Linux (Ubuntu / Centos)
- Experience with enterprise storage including ISCSI and SAN technology
- Prior experience using automation tools (Ansible, Foreman etc)
- Knowledge of IP networking, DNS, and firewalling
- Experience with Python, shell scripts and command-line tools
- Knowledge of containerisation and related orchestration technologies
- Demonstrable experience of remediation projects, ideally within a PCI-DSS certified environment
- Strong verbal & written communication skills and natural willingness to collaborate across teams and organisations
- Naturally able & productive with ITSM tools such as Jira, ServiceNow etc
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent experience
