Network Engineer Specialist - 1 Year Contract

BDO is seeking a skilled Network Engineer Specialist to join their dynamic IT team in Toronto. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure and resilient IT network and telecom infrastructure. This is a one-year contract position offering the opportunity to work on high-impact projects in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role with hands-on Juniper switch configuration and troubleshooting experience in a 24/7 critical infrastructure system environment across multiple sites.
• 1~2 years of hands-on experience with Fortinet Firewalls, and other Fortinet appliances such as FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of SD-WAN and network technology, network architecture, and good understanding of the Azure networking.
• 1~2 years of working experience in configuring and managing WLAN environment for optimal service delivery. Working with MIST access points, and MIST AI. Experience working with Aruba ClearPass and Aruba Central is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols, NAT, VLAN Trunking, VoIP and SIP.
• Familiarity with ticketing, alarming, logging and monitoring software such as ScienceLogic, and ServiceNow.
• Knowledge in managing MS Teams telephony, and eFax is an asset.
• Knowledge in working with Netscaler load balancer is an asset.
• University Degree in Computer Science or in a related discipline.
