Principal Systems Engineer, ServiceNow Automation Engineer responsible for designing and scaling process automation in ServiceNow, building Service Catalog items and fulfilling workflows, and integrating with internal and external systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
- Minimum 4 years working with ServiceNow
- 4+ years building in ServiceNow with a strong focus on Service Catalog and automation
- Experience in Catalog Item creations with approvals and automated fulfillment
- Hands-on REST/SOAP integrations, JSON, webhooks, OAuth 2.0, tokens, and secure credential handling
- Strong understanding of ITSM (Request, Incident, Change, Problem) and ServiceNow SDLC/governance
- Experience with MID Server and external scripting (PowerShell/Python/SSH)
- Proficiency with ATF, HealthScan, and maintainable coding practices
- Excellent communication with business/product and technical teams; metrics-driven mindset
