Senior Cloud Engineer

Axway is seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Operations Engineer to join their team in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2025. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure) across platforms. The engineer will collaborate with customers, product teams, and support to enhance security, compliance, and best practices. They will also participate in after-hours and scheduled implementation activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT with similar responsibilities
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
• Deep knowledge of cloud, on-prem, and hybrid solutions architecture
• Ability to solve complex and non-routine problems efficiently
• Flexibility to work with global teams across NA, EMEA, and APAC time zones
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent
• Technical skills: AWS and Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, scripting & automation
• Networking & Connectivity: TCP/IP, FTP, SFTP, PESIT, HTTPS, AS2, routing, firewalls, proxies (forward/reverse), HAProxy, NAS
• Databases: RDBMS and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Security & Identity Management: PKI, SSO, LDAP, SAML, OpenID, MFA, OAuth
• Messaging & Integration: SOAP, REST, SOA, MQ, Tibco
• Service Management Tools: Salesforce, ServiceNow, Jira
