ServiceNow ITOM / CMDB Architect - Immediate Start

Datacom is seeking an ServiceNow ITOM / CMDB Architect to lead implementations of ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB, enabling secure and scalable service management for major Australian customers. The role involves leading technical workshops, designing solutions, mentoring teams, and ensuring high-quality handover to operations. The position is based in Australia and New Zealand, offering a hybrid work environment with opportunities for in-person interaction.

Requirements

• 5+ years working on the ServiceNow platform with demonstrable ITOM/CMDB delivery experience.
• Proven consulting experience leading ITOM/CMDB implementations in client environments.
• ServiceNow CIS certification(s) for ITOM/Discovery/Service Mapping/CMDB (or equivalent experience).
• Strong hands-on experience with Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration and Cloud Management.
• Deep familiarity with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and CMDB reconciliation approaches.
• Experience with MID Server architecture, Discovery Patterns (Pattern Designer, probes & sensors) and tuning.
• Broad integration knowledge: REST, SOAP, SSO/SAML, LDAP, JDBC/ODBC, FTPS and common integration patterns.
• Solid scripting skills on the platform (JavaScript — Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages; knowledge of Angular/JS is a plus).
