GovCIO is seeking a Software License Manager to manage the lifecycle of subscription-based software. This remote position will oversee software licensing, ensuring compliance, optimizing costs, and mitigating risks. The role involves liaisoning with vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders, and fostering strong relationships with software vendors. The ideal candidate will understand software needs, evaluate licensing options, and manage support documentation.

Requirements

  • Clearance Required: Secret
  • 3-5 years in software asset/license management in a federal or DoD environment
  • Familiarity with DoD ESI agreements and DODIN software rationalization policies
  • Experience with license optimization tools (e.g., Flexera, SNOW, ServiceNow SAM)
  • Extensive knowledge on software asset management and software asset management tools and technologies
  • Extensive experience in software license inventories and ‘proof of license ownership” and “proof of license purchase”
  • Extensive experience in managing support documentation for software license management, at a minimum includes, user manuals, purchase docs, supporting docs, User

Requirements Summary
