The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is seeking a Sr. Network Technician to perform network engineering, design, analysis and installation. The position will provide support for the customers computer data communications network systems by providing engineering specifications, modifications and inspections for computer networks to include planning and implementing upgrades as well as analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software to design combined engineering solutions through network modeling.
Requirements
- TS/SCI with Poly
- 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education
- Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
- Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals
- Working knowledge of layer 2 switching concepts
- Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes
- Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience (CAT5, Single Mode (SM)/Multimode (MM) Fiber, Serial cables, Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP))
- Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) models
- Knowledge of Cisco Internetworking Operating System (IOS), Juniper JUNOS, and the Brocade and Foundry Operating System (OS)
- Familiarity (doesn’t need to be a SME) with Layer 3 protocols such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP), Multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), Language Server Protocol (LSP), and Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, ServiceNow, and Atlassian Confluence
- Working knowledge of Service Now or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products
