This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across customer-facing platforms and internal systems. They'll diagnose and resolve issues related to database performance and collaborate on data architecture design.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with MariaDB and PostgreSQL in production environments
- Strong understanding of database internals, indexing strategies, replication, and failover mechanisms
- Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and query optimization
- Experience with backup/restore strategies, disaster recovery planning, and data migration
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, pg_stat_statements)
- Fluent in German and English (written and verbal)
- Ability to travel to customer site in Germany
