Staff Quality Performance Engineer

ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Performance Quality Engineer to design performance testing frameworks, collaborate with Product, DEV, and QE teams, and automate performance testing of RESTful Web Services. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of Software Quality Engineering/Testing or Software Development experience in a performance testing capacity.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Software Quality Engineering/Testing or Software Development in a performance testing capacity
• Hands on experience in defining and implementing performance test strategies, test frameworks, and test automation for backend systems
• Hands on experience with performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, and AppDynamics
• Experience with scripting language such as JavaScript/Python/Ruby/shell script in a Linux environment
• Experience with SQL databases, data abstraction layers and object-oriented data architecture, to construct queries, analyze schema and records
• Working knowledge of continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins
• Strong understanding of SDLC and CI/CD concepts
• Experience with agile methodology for software development teams
• Experience with driving root cause analysis investigations and postmortems for defects and regressions
• Exceptional debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proven ability to drive cross-team technical discussions and decision making
• Strong aptitude and helpful attitude in providing excellent support to cross-functional organizations
• 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience
