Staff Software Engineer - Backend (Persistence)

ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Data Platform Engineer for the Trino Engine team in the Platform Persistence group. This role focuses on building and optimizing scalable, reliable, and scalable Trino components and ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability of the company's infrastructure. Collaboration with product managers is crucial, and the engineer will contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features. Requirements

• Leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes.
• Experience using AI Productivity tools like Windsurf, Cursor, etc.
• Proficiency in Java/JVM ecosystem and performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance optimization.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software quality principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and optimize performance.
