VMware Engineer

VMware Engineer job opportunity with NTT DATA Romania, working on an initiative of the European Commission to create a more efficient customs environment. The role involves overseeing DC management, systems administration, and monitoring, and providing planning, installing, configuring, and upgrading support for vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, and NSX-T.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure with at least 3 years focused on VMware technologies
• ITIL certification (highly desirable) and experience with service management tools such as ServiceNow (a plus)
• VCP-DCV, VCP-NV, CCNA, CCNP certifications or equivalent work experience
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing and maintaining network infrastructure at different scales (LAN/WAN/MAN)
• Experience with various networking technology, including MPLS, VPLS, VLAN, VxLAN, LTM/GTM, BGP, ACL, NAT, VPN, IPv4/IPv6
• Experience with software-defined network, such as VMWare NSX
• Scripting skills
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• A proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving and process optimization
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English
