IT Category Manager

VTekis Consulting is seeking a IT Category Manager to lead and manage the global technology procurement category. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring adherence to sourcing policies. The position requires strong communication and collaboration skills with senior leadership, and a focus on achieving cost savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology or related field
• 5+ years of experience in developing and executing category strategies in IT Sourcing software, hardware and IT Professional Services
• CPM/CPSM or PMP certification a plus
• Experience with negotiating with Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft and ServiceNow preferred
• Experience with negotiating with IT contracting and consulting firms (e.g., Infosys, Accenture) preferred
• Effective communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with C-suite leadership
• Knowledge of standard commercial contracting practices and procedures
