SGS is seeking a Junior LIMS IT Support Technician (Java) to join our Corporate IT team in Bogotá, Colombia. The role involves providing technical support for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and optimize application performance.
Requirements
- Graduate or post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar technical support role
- Experience in application support and bug fixing
- Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL)
- Experience with support tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Hands-on experience with Java development or maintenance, including APIs, web services, and XML/JSON
- Familiarity with system maintenance, configuration management, and basic SQL scripting
