Peraton is seeking a NOC Associate Network Tools Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in configuring and managing network monitoring tools, monitor CBP's network infrastructure, and provide technical support and training for CBP personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or Masters degree and 3 years of experience or an Associates degree and 7 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a CBP Public Trust
  • Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.)
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as Riverbed, OpenText, Wireshark, or similar
  • Knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching
  • Familiarity with cloud-based network monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with IT service management tools like ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
