Senior Assistant Field Technician

This role is for a Field Technician responsible for onsite and remote support of County sites and Points of Presence (PoP) equipment. The technician will perform diagnostics, repairs, replacements, installations, and preventative maintenance on hardware and workstations, ensuring compliance with SLAs and ServiceNow documentation. They should work in South San Jose, CA.

Requirements

• 2+ years of field service, IT support, or hardware maintenance experience
• Proficiency in workstation setup, configuration, imaging, and peripheral support
• Knowledge of network equipment installation (routers, cables, adapters)
• Experience with ticketing systems (preferably ServiceNow)
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Familiarity with data sanitization tools (BitRaser, BitLocker) and IT security standards
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel to County and Depot locations
