Software License Manager

GovCIO is hiring a Software License Manager to manage the lifecycle of all subscription-based software. This remote position requires overseeing software licenses, optimizing costs, and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements. The role involves liaisoning with vendors and stakeholders and fostering positive vendor relationships.

Requirements

• Clearance Required: Secret
• 3–5 years in software asset/license management in a federal or DoD environment
• Familiarity with DoD ESI agreements and DODIN software rationalization policies
• Experience with license optimization tools (e.g., Flexera, SNOW, ServiceNow SAM)
• Extensive knowledge on software asset management and software asset management tools and technologies
• Extensive experience in software license inventories and ‘proof of license ownership” and “proof of license purchase”
• Extensive experience in managing support documentation for software license management, at a minimum includes, user manuals, purchase docs, supporting docs, User
• End License Agreements (UELA) etc. Extensive knowledge on identifying unused or underutilized software licenses
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II cert
