ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Product Service Engineer with expertise in MariaDB and PostgreSQL to support, optimize, and scale their database-backed services. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across customer-facing platforms and internal systems. It's a pivotal position to ensure data architecture and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with MariaDB and PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of database internals, indexing strategies, replication, and failover mechanisms
- Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and query optimization
- Experience with backup/restore strategies, disaster recovery planning, and data migration
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, pg_stat_statements)
- Fluent in German and English (written and verbal)
