Staff Software Engineer - RaptorDB Provisioning

ServiceNow is seeking a skilled Staff Software Engineer to join their In-Office Flex San Diego, CA location team. The role involves building and maintaining the tools used to operate and manage databases within ServiceNow data centers. It's a collaborative environment where quality, scale, and customer feedback are paramount, and a strong emphasis is placed on ease of use and professional development. The team focuses on delivering reliable database operations, and will also work with both in-office and remote colleagues.

Requirements

• Expertise in managing and operating databases in production, particularly PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or Oracle.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.
• Experience in collaborating and negotiating with senior technical stakeholders.
• Linux experience with a deep understanding of its internals.
• Excellent technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Ruby, Puppet, Jenkins, TeamCity, and CI/CD systems.
• Experience with Agile methodologies
